- When and where do I show up?
Group runs will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm, and on Saturdays at 8:00AM. If there is a need for a morning run we will consider adding an early weekday run as well.
- What if I’ve never run before?
This program is designed for those who can comfortably run 2-3 miles. This is a beginning half marathon training program so having some running ability is key to an enjoyable and successful experience.
- What if I miss a session or become injured?
We will give you a program to follow, if you can’t make a class just be sure to do the run at home. If you become injured for any reason and need to take a week or two off we will recommend some cross training activities to maintain your fitness.
- Can I get my money back if I can’t complete the program?
If you are unable to complete the program due to injury or schedule, the following will apply:
1-2 weeks: Full refund
2-4 weeks: $125.00 refund
4-6 weeks: $100.00 refund
6-10 weeks: Cost of race refunded.
- What do I wear?
Properly fit running shoes and breathable comfortable clothing should be worn to all the runs. All of our staff is fully trained in proper shoe fitting and what to wear depending on the weather. IF you have any doubts about the integrity of your shoes please ask a staff person for his/her advice. Having the right shoe can make a huge difference in the success of your running.
- What do I bring?
In the first weeks of training you will need to bring just yourself and your running attire. As our runs get longer you will want to consider a fuel carrier of some sort that will allow you to comfortably carry fluid and energy replacement foods.
- What if I’m too slow?
Each runner will progress at a different rate; don’t worry about what your pace is. Our goal is to get you to the finish line healthy and happy!
Running is NOT EASY, if it were, everyone would be doing it. You may feel discouraged and frustrated at times, but if you persevere, by the end of the program you will find yourself both looking forward to and ENJOYING your runs.
